To Everything
Bob Barner, takes an inspiring passage from Ecclesiastes, in the Old Testament, and creates this beautifully illustrated book. His use of bright collage takes the reader on a magical journey through life’s changes.
Activities for this book
- Create a collage of your own
- Think of how you are feeling.
- Choose construction paper that matches those feelings
- Create an image that expresses those feelings. It can be abstract, it can be an image that represents how you feel, or it can be a more realistic scene of a memory that made you happy or sad. Don’t be afraid to let go and really show how you feel. You don’t have to share the reason behind the collage.
- Creating quilt pattern blocks (refer to A time to tear apart, a time to sew together page)
- Cut out shapes from different color construction paper
- For shape templates click here.
- Use shapes to create patterns similar to a quilt block.
- You could also do this with fabric and sew it together
