In this class, students will learn about contour lines.

Class Layout
Students will learn what a contour drawing is.
Students will look at several examples of contour drawings of hands.
Students will practice drawing the contour of their hand.
Students will learn what a blind contour drawing is.
Students will practice drawing a blind contour of their hand.

Benefits of art activities:

1. Students will learn how to observe and draw what they see.
2. Students will practice eye-hand coordination by drawing as they observe their hand.
3. Students will learn that it is ok to make mistakes in art.
4. Students will learn different types of contour drawing.

This class is fun and students will be encouraged to ask questions about and comment on the activities and their drawings.
